The social worker’s role is to visit the employer before placing a caregiver, diagnose their unique needs, ensure that the conditions required by law for employing a foreign caregiver are met, and accordingly build the required caregiver profile. During the first month of placement, the social worker will visit the employer’s home again to ensure that the caregiver’s functioning is proper and meets the patient’s needs, as well as that the caregiver’s working conditions meet the required criteria.
During the year, the social worker will visit at least twice more routinely. As difficulties arise, the social worker conducts additional inspections and makes additional visits at the request of the employer/family member/caregiver.
The social worker contacts the employer/family member and coordinates her visits in advance.
We will attend a mediation meeting and try to maintain the special relationship that has been created between the patient and the employee, and in the event of a termination, an accompanying employee, until a suitable replacement is found.
